MySpace sold for $35M ONLY!

30 Jun 11 0:54
Hello Everyone,

We have just learned that the social network Myspace has been sold for $35M today. You might recall that it was originally bought for $580M in 2005! That's a lost of about $550M!

We still remember the time when we used to program on all the major social networks. This included Myspace, Facebook and the less known Bebo. Now we only do Facebook!

There was also a time when the social network said you only have to program once and it would all work across the different platform!!! Well - it never happened!

Anyway, check it out at Washington Post:

more news to come later about what we think...:)

Facebook Social Media One-Stop Shop for Small Businesses

10 Mar 11 14:49
Hello Everyone,

We are pleased to announce that we have just launched the Social Media One-Stop Shop on Facebook. The One-Stop Shop is specially designed to cater for the needs of small businesses for the new social media.

Small businesses, in particular, have found it difficult to catch up with what social media and social networks can offer. Many of whom are lagging behind and have failed to engage their current and potential customers online.

Social Revitalizer, the developer of Social RSS app, has developed a complete range of services, enabling small businesses to have a unique presence on Facebook and other social media channels. We also integrate these channels into the Facebook fan page of the business. In addition, we provide up-to-date advice to small businesses as to how to go about to engage and entertain their customers and potential clients.

Facebook FBML Tabs will Stop

8 Mar 11 13:25
Hello everyone,

We blogged a couple of weeks ago saying that Facebook will be stopping all new FBML tabs. This will now happen later this week between 10 March and 12 March. After this, businesses won't be able to create any new FBML tabs any more.

The good old FBML tabs was a quick-and-easy way for the more IT savvy people to create their own custom tabs. FBML is very similar to HTML. Most people won't know a bit HTML can just copy and paste the code. It was a relatively easy way to have your own custom tabs.

However, after this week, this function will be taken away from you all. The only way to have your own custom tab is to create a full blown app! We are hoping to provide you with more details in due course.

In the meantime, if you do want your own custom tabs after this week, you can contact us at socialrss@hotmail.com. We would be pleased to help.

Look forward to helping you all back on track soon.

Custom Facebook Tab for Real Estate Market

15 Feb 11 15:28
Introduce "Social" into your Real Estate Facebook Fan Page

Hello Everyone,

We have been approached by so many Real Estate agencies that they would like to have their own unique identity on Facebook. Our response is the requirement for a Custom Landing Tab for your Facebook Fan Page.

A Custom Landing Tab can be set as the default landing place for non-fans. As such, all those Facebook users who are not yet "liked" your Fan Page will hit this Custom Landing Tab first.

Another very useful tool is to list out the properties you want to sell/to let on the Custom Tab. Social Revitalizer have developed many examples of Custom Tabs. Feel free to check out the gallery of example tabs. The cost starts from $12/Month. Check it out at:

No More Custom Facebook FBML Tabs!

11 Feb 11 2:44

Hello All,

It's confirmed!!! There will be no more FBML tabs on Facebook from 11 March 2011!!!

Facebook has announced today this would be the case. this also apply to all the new FBML apps on the platform. However, it doesn't affect the old FBML apps.

We think this has a BIG impact on small businesses. As you know, the more tech savvy people will just hack in and produce their own FMBL tabs. The plus side is that you can have any tabs you want with whatever tab name.

As from 11 March 2011, you are kind of stuck with full development of web pages and to bring them in to Facebook as iframe. Again, it can be done if you know what you are doing. But then if you are busy running a small business, where do you find the time.

Enough said,

do check out our new gallery of Custom Facebook Tabs. The cost is as low as $12/Month, so it’s a lot for your money. Check it out at:
